1 CONTAINER IS A HOME FOR ONE WIDOW!
TOGETHER WE CAN DO THIS!!
WHY THIS PROJECT
Recently a team of 6 have come back from Cyclone Ravaged Fiji. We first handly witnessed the damage done to properties from Category 5 Cyclone Winston. There are many widows with no where to live, Almana Hope Centre has offered land and homes to these widows with the opportunity to have a safe place to live and learn new skills to be able to empower themselves and improve their life. Unfortunately 2 weeks before the homes were to be completed and handed over to the widows cyclone Winston struck and completely destroyed all of them.
BEFORE CYCLONE WINSTON FEB 2016
AFTER THE DEVASTATING CYCLONE ONLY ONE UNIT OUT OF 8 HAS SURVIVED BUT BADLY DAMAGED
The foundations are still intact with all underground plumbing installed. This project would see the shipping containers placed upon the current foundations, with a matter of holes cut out and the plumbing pipes installed into the containers. On the Fijian side windows and doors would be installed in to the containers.
